    Emily Muniz

Politics Undergraduate Student at New York University

I am an MLK Jr. Scholar and 2024 Social Impact Changemaker Fellow at NYU with a strong background in educational equity, youth advocacy, and mental health accessibility. I have conducted research on affirmative action and the ethical implications of using standardized test scores as a metric for college admissions, which I presented at both Harvard and NYU. My current research focuses on the effects of structural factors in college admissions on equity across race and income, including donor influence, early decision guidelines, affirmative action trends, magnet schools, and the return of standardized testing. I currently serve as the Digital Civics Fellow at #HalfTheStory, where I help co-design the Digital Civics Academy: a summer program for teens focused on digital wellness and the responsible tech movement. I plan to pursue graduate studies in education policy or public policy, with the goal of eventually working in policy development to help create policies that support more equitable and inclusive educational systems.

I plan to continue building on these skills as I advance in my education and career.

I’ve also completed a Yale University online law course focused on legal reasoning and foundational concepts in the U.S. legal system. I am an aspiring Business and Law student with a strong interest in corporate law, governance, and innovation. I currently contribute to The Aziz Law Journal, where I write about topics at the intersection of law, economics, and global affairs, with a focus on issues such as corporate responsibility, climate policy, and emerging technologies.

Hello! I am Shaista Sayed, an aspiring corporate attorney. In high school, I interned with a marketing firm, participated and won every mock trial I competed in, tutored in various subjects, and competed in Academic Decathlon for four years—earning top honors in essay and overall finisher. Rabia Ecrin Özdaşan

Secretary of the Event Committee in the Turkish Student Senate

I am a high school student with a fascination for how systems legal, social or psychological truly operate beneath their surface. I serve as Secretary of the Event Committee in the Turkish Student Senate and take part in the drafting of a policy report destined for Parliament. I hold active roles in my city’s Youth Council and two national youth-led initiatives, where I navigate leadership through both structure and intuition. My passion for Olympic archery, chess, and puzzles isn’t about competition it’s about control, focus, and anticipating what others miss. I’m especially drawn to criminal law and crime analysis, not for justice, but for the opportunity to understand motive, manipulate outcomes within the rules, and master the narrative. I aim to build a career that combines observation with influence where precision matters more than noise, and strategy beats intention.

  • Dylan Anthony Royse

    Aspiring J.D Candidate

Social Studies has consistently been my strongest academic interest, serving as the foundation for my passion for law and politics. I have developed a deep understanding of both U.S. and world history, with a particular interest in the systems of governance, international relations, and historical events that shape global affairs.

I attended public school until 2020 and completed my high school education through the Acellus program, which provided the flexibility to further cultivate my academic interests. This educational path has reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in the legal or political field, where I can apply this knowledge to contribute meaningfully to society.

  • Neesa Peak

    Student at University of Wisconsin

I’m a student in the Writing and Applied Arts program at the Green Bay extension of the University of Wisconsin. Writing has always been my passion and my preferred method of communication. While I am not planning to pursue a career in law I enjoy researching topics that are new to me and sharing my findings with others. It is important for me to stay informed about the legal landscape of the country I live in and the world in general. I have been developing my skills in writing and editing for different sorts of publications; I hope to put those skills into use when I finish my degree.
